Pleasure In Yourself – Guided practice 2

How did you get on with the previous guided practice?

Some a-ha moments? A bit so-so? Challenging?

I imagine there may be some things which felt like they flowed, and other things which were frustrating.

Whatever you experienced I can guarantee you’re not alone!

And it’s unlikely that you felt 100% at home with everything – if you did you probably wouldn’t be here in the first place!

The key is to keep coming back and practicing some more, and building on the experiences you’ve already had.

So that’s what we’re going to do in this second guided practice.

I’ll be giving you more options, and choices – so you have more freedom to really follow your own body, and my invitations are there to inspire you.

You can try this practice lying, standing, or sitting – or moving between all 3.  You’re invited to be as unclothed as you want to be.

How long do you need?

This practice will last 25 minutes; I recommend allowing an hour to include time to get setup, warm up, and for journaling afterwards.

Don’t forget to take some time to journal your reflections about your experience of the practice (you can write this, or record a voice note).

Some questions you might find useful as prompt points are:

  • What felt enjoyable?
  • What was challenging?
  • What would you like to explore further another time?

Don’t forget to send me a short report about your experience, as soon as possible after your session, so I can respond with support and suggestions.

Take time now, if you haven’t already, to schedule your next practice session. And don’t forget to write it somewhere, or add it to your calendar – you’re much more likely to remember to do it that way!
